40.3 million people are enslaved across the globe today
An estimated
It shouldn't be this way. And something as simple as buying pearl jewelry, made with the purest of gems can help us bring freedom, hope and restore dignity to those who need it most.
Because they're worth it
My husband and I started Purity Pearls with a desire to serve some of the world's least served. Both of our careers have taken us around the world and to places of deep need. From trash dumps to slums to squalid refugee camps, those who were the most vulnerable always suffered the most. They were easily preyed upon without finances or education to protect them. Children are too often robbed of the innocence and purity that should be a given in childhood. Women can be forced to turn towards undesirable work because of a lack of education and opportunity in order to provide for themselves or their families.
Of the 40.3 million people trapped in slavery around the world today, it's estimated that 71% of them are female and one out of every four are children. An estimated 1.2 million children per year are trafficked, the majority into the sex industry.
Purity Pearls is birthed from the belief that this can change and that every person has worth and value. And we are committed to making this a reality. That's why we give back to support vulnerable women and children.
When you purchase pearl jewelry for your spouse, girlfriend, child, or friend, it’s an investment that says something about how much you value that person. Every time someone buys a Purity Pearls item, you are not only saying the person you are buying this for is worth it, but you are also saying that those who are most vulnerable are worth it by helping us to provide restoration, protection and education through our partner organizations.
Brooke Parks
Meet our CEO
I fell in love with other nations and cultures traveling on mission trips in college. After graduating with an MBA, my heart for business grew and I spent the next five years working for an international non-profit that served the marginalized in some of the worlds toughest areas. We provided practical support and also shared the stories of those who had overcome trials to inspire others. I have a deep belief that no person or story is beyond restoration and I have seen this first hand. That's why my husband and I started Purity Pearls, to help bring worth and value to those who need it most. I'm married to my best friend and we have three beautiful children who provide us with endless delight and entertainment. When I built Purity Pearls, it was between naps and nursing sessions and I wouldn't have it any other way. The love and safety that I see my children thrive in motivates me everyday to fight for that same purity in childhood for others.
BOBBY PARKS
Meet our Founder
The idea for Purity Pearls was birthed on a flight from the Phillipippines back to the States while Bobby was directing an outreach program for a university he worked at. Two weeks prior, he had visited a team serving at a home in India for young girls who had been rescued out of human trafficking . They left him letters, saying "Please remember me." In the Phillippines, Bobby visited the pearl markets and purchased some pearls. Looking at these letters and the pearls, an idea for Purity Pearls was first sparked. Pearl jewelry that brought worth and value back to those who need it. In addition to being husband and Dad, Bobby spends his time on a number of outreach iniatives locally and internationally. This includes leading the organization More Than A Game that he founded to serve serve refugees, immigrant populations and at risk youth through the sport of soccer. morethanagame.co
